존 바에즈의 구렁이 담 넘어가듯 깔끔한 목소리는 평소 나의 취향과는 거리가 멀다. 또 이 가수의 수 많은 노래들 중에 특별히 좋아하는 곡도 얼마 없다. (까탈스럽긴~)
그런데 이 노래만큼은 뻬보릿(favorite)이다. 3시간 넘게 이 노래만 들은 적도 있다. 그래도 가사는 못 외웠다. ( ㅡ.,-);;

자메이카의 트렌치타운이란 가난한 마을에서 젊은 날을 보낸 밥 말리가 아직도 자신과 같은 어려운 환경을 겪는 조국 자메이카의 여성들에게 희망의 메시지를 전달하는 내용으로 채워져 있다.
